Thai Lime Time! Makrut Lime to the Rescue.

Perhaps you've used lime essential oil and love it. But Makrut lime (Citrus hystrix) is a little different, a little special. To me it't a little bit sweet treat lime, a little bit pack a punch, fight the germs tea tree kind of oil.

But it adds up to one lovely citrus smelling, germ fighting, uplifting kind of essential oil plus a bit more.

The chemistry tells it all. Makrut lime is rich in alpha-pinene, limonene, and terpinen-4-ol.

Alpha-pinene offers analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-spasmodic properties. Think relaxation and relief. Limonene in addition to analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, offers white blood cell activation and increase in skin penetration, and it's a great adversary to support immune health.

Terpinene-4-ol which is also found in tea tree, is also a great anti-inflammatory, activates the immune system, and also fights germs.

To me Makrut lime smells sweet with a touch of medicinal. But many of my clients love it. Below is a great way to enjoy the sweetness and germ fighting power of Makrut lime.

Germ Fighting Uplifting Diffuser Blend:

2 drops lavender (Lavendula angustifolia)

2 drops Makrut lime (Cistrus hystrix)

2 drops peppermint (Menta x piperita)

Add to your diffuser (or double or triple and add to an inhaler) and enjoy. If you have questions about Markrut lime or any other essential oils, aromatherapy, or natural wellness contact me -- I'd love to help. Or stop by and visit the store in Old Town Temecula.

Aromatic blessings,
